The plot, revolving around a Mafia consigliere returning to South Korea, is rich with intrigue and moral dilemmas. Song Joong-ki delivers a standout performance, portraying Vincenzo with a perfect balance of charm and menace. The supporting cast, particularly Jeon Yeo-been as Hong Cha Young, adds depth and dimension, making their partnership engaging and dynamic. Kim Hee-won's direction ensures a steady pace, with well-executed action sequences and moments of levity. The series does an excellent job of commenting on justice and corruption, while also providing entertaining escapism. From the moment Vincenzo Cassano lands back in South Korea, you’re hooked. The blend of dark humour and intense drama is just spot on. Song Joong-ki's portrayal of Vincenzo is both suave and ruthless, making it hard not to root for him even when he’s dishing out his own brand of justice. I absolutely loved the chemistry between him and Hong Cha Young; their banter is sharp and entertaining. The show doesn’t shy away from the grittier aspects of the story, but somehow it keeps a light-hearted tone that makes it enjoyable. The cinematography is gorgeous, and the action scenes are thrilling without feeling overdone.
