Live streaming Supercars

The most prestigious event on the 2023 Supercars schedule has arrived, and with it comes expanded options for watching or streaming on free-to-air Network Seven.

In honour of the 60th anniversary of iconic mountain race, Seven will begin broadcasting live at 9:50am (AEDT) on Friday, 6 October, and continue each day until the practices, qualifying, supports, top ten shootout and the Bathurst 1000 itself, has been run and won.

Channel Seven has not only extended the number of hours it will be covering the Great Race, the broadcaster have also integrated a digital hub aimed at engaging with viewers through-out the Bathurst 1000 weekend.

As such, the 2023 Bathurst 1000 promises action both on and off the track, and you won’t miss a key moment when watching live on 7, 7Mate or the 7Plus streaming platform.

This season’s Bathurst 1000 is the tenth leg of the 2023 Repco Supercars Championship, and the first on free to air since Channel Seven covered the Townsville 500 in early July. That’s a full 90 days in between events, and it couldn’t come at a better time given the popularity of the race to conquer Mount Panorama.

Viewership of last year’s Bathurst 1000 was the highest in recent years, with the combined 1,884,000 people watching across free-to-air and Pay TV. Of that number, approximately 1,360,000 watched on Seven and 7Plus. A number that swelled to 1.89 million during the podium celebrations.

This year, that mark could go higher thanks to the expanded viewing options, and Seven’s enhanced digital features.

Network Seven have collaborated with Repco Supercars and Komo Technologies, to introduce a digital hub that will engage with viewers throughout the Bathurst 1000 weekend.

As such, the 7Plus online streaming platform will offer viewers a chance to vote for their favourite Bathurst from the past sixty years, and there will be enticing prizes up for grabs.

Channel Seven’s live TV coverage of the 2023 Bathurst 1000 begins Friday at 10am and concludes at 5:30pm (AEDT). Saturday’s live broadcasting starts at 10am and wraps-up at 6:30pm (AEDT). While Sunday’s live coverage will kick off at 8am, and end at the podium, which should be sometime around 6:00pm (AEDT).

The broadcast team will be led by Mark Beretta and Mel McLaughlin, with commentary from Jack Perkins and Will Brown.

Emma Freedman will cover the scene from Mount Panorama, while Mark Larkham reports live from the pit lane with help from Chris Stubbs, Chad Neylon and Riana Crehan.

Channel 7, and in some instances 7Mate, will be providing the live terrestrial TV coverage. The 7Plus platform will be the digital live streaming destination.

The TV chart below includes the dates, times and key events for each day’s coverage in AEDT (Sydney/Melbourne), so be sure to adjust for local differences in Brisbane, Adelaide and Perth.
