Yummy New Food Series from Netflix to Premiere This April

The first docu-series from Netflix, Chef’s Table, looks deliciously epic. The series is slated to debut April 26 worldwide, which means Australians will get the chance to drool in front of their screens while watching some of the world’s most renowned international chefs hard at work.

Besides showcasing what’s going on in the kitchen though, Chef’s Table will also reveal details about the chefs’ day-to-day lives.

It’s a known fact that Netflix has been focusing on documentaries as a key part of its originals mix. For Chef’s Table, the streaming giant has teamed up with David Gelb, who previously directed 2011’s Jiro Dreams of Sushi, a popular documentary about an octogenarian sushi master whose $300-per-plate restaurant is legendary among Tokyo foodies.

Unfortunately, Jiro Dreams of Sushi isn’t currently available for streaming in Australia. However, the new series will be available everywhere, so we will be able to get a glimpse at how six world class chefs operate on a daily basis. By the look of the trailer, it’s going to be a deliciously epic ride!

The docu-series, which has six parts, will go inside the lives and kitchens of six top culinary talents from around the globe. Each episode focuses on a single chef, featuring Ben Shewry (Attica Restaurant in Melbourne, Australia), Magnus Nilsson (Fäviken in Järpen Sweden), Francis Mallmann (El Restaurante Patagonia Sur in Buenos Aires, Argentina), Niki Nakayama (N/Naka Restaurant in Los Angeles, CA, USA), Dan Barber (Blue Hill Restaurant at Stone Barns and in New York City, USA) and Massimo Bottura (Osteria Francescana in Modena, Italy). Chef’s Table will provide Netflix subscribers with a unique look at their lives, talents, and passion. Ready to enter culinary heaven? We sure are!

The docu-series, produced by Boardwalk Pictures, will premiere on April 26, with all six episodes available for streaming at launch.
