Best TV geeks

Top 7 TV geeks

Most TV shows have at least one gifted character who knows more information than anyone else and is able to use his technology and resources like no one else can. Here are the seven greatest TV geniuses:

7. Lisa Simpson – The Simpsons

Despite her self-righteousness and the fact that she’s a stick-in-the-mud from time to time, Lisa Simpson has a very high IQ unlike the rest of her family. She’s very intellectually knowledgeable about different subjects such as astronomy and medicine, and she always feels concerned about world issues.

6. Ross Geller – Friends

Ross is one of the all-time funniest geeks on TV. His area of expertise is paleontology which means he’s fascinated with dinosaurs and the subject of evolution. One of the most hilarious things about his character is how he is obsessed with dinosaurs, fossils and all kinds of old species. There’s even a running gag on Friends in which he starts to tell a long story and everyone becomes incredibly bored with it.

5. Chloe O’brien – 24

It’s impossible to forget how amazing Chloe was at what she did. Thanks to her hacking skills, she used to save Jack Bauer’s life every time he was in trouble and help him protect the world against terrorism.

4. Willow Rosenberg – Buffy The Vampire Slayer

Willow’s character was a delight on that show. Most real-life geeks used to have a crush on her (which probably increased after she became a lesbian) and for a good reason. She’s the best one in the Scooby gang in using the library and the computer for research. She’s smart, resourceful and brought a lot of humor to the show.

3. Cosima Niehaus – Orphan Black

Cosima is one of the sexiest geeks on TV right now. Her character is lovable, friendly, and more importantly, logical. She’s able to use her knowledge and her position inside a research lab to help the other clones get more information about their biology and genetics, while at the same time getting all hot and bothered with her lab partner Delphine.

2. Sheldon Cooper – The Big Bang Theory

Sheldon has one of the highest IQs on TV. Despite the absence of emotional intelligence in his character and his social ineptitude, Sheldon is very logical, extremely gifted and highly intellectual. Plus he has knowledge in various subjects and can speak multiple languages.

1. Abed Nadir – Community

Just like Sheldon, Abed is a genius and has a problem with expressing emotions, although the difference is that Abed’s intelligence is mostly directed towards pop culture references and meta commentary which makes him more witty, hilarious and uniquely clever.
