Four Weddings and a Funeral

This is the most popular British movie of all time and it’s a perfect choice for a dull rainy day. Hugh Grant plays Charles, a sweet but socially awkward guy who is desperately in love with Carrie (Andie MacDowell), an American whom Charles keeps meeting at four weddings and at a funeral. American Beauty

This dark comedy is another great choice for a rainy evening in. Kevin Spacey is Lester, a suburban father who is going through a midlife crisis when he becomes infatuated with his teen daughter’s best friend. But the family’s problems don’t end here. The Hobbit 1 and 2

Those in search for a good zombie movie to fill a lazy afternoon should definitely check out The Returned. After most of world was infected with a zombie virus, doctors were able to find a cure that can keep the virus in check and those infected can lead normal lives. But when the cure starts running low, people reverse to their zombie state, while those who were not infected begin killing them. In the middle of the havoc is Kate, a doctor in the field of zombie virus who is desperately trying to find more dosages of the cure for her husband.

Twin Peaks

A marathon of this cult classic is the perfect excuse for staying in. The series follows FBI Agent Dale Cooper as he investigates the murder of homecoming queen Laura Palmer in the small town of Twin Peaks. But the close knit community has more secrets then agent Cooper realises and, soon, the mystery of Laura’s murder is not the only thing he is looking into…
