6 Most Anticipated New Shows of 2015

Even though there are probably plenty of shows already on your plate, try to clear your schedule in the next few months to explore new masterpieces. This is a list of six new series that have the potential of turning into great hits in 2015:

The knick

The knick is a medical drama that takes place in the early twentieth century when medical understanding was still limited. The show tells the story of Dr. John Thackery (portrayed by the talented Clive Owen) who is trying to make medical discoveries while suffering from drug addiction. The series is dark and gory with quality acting, writing and directing.

The Knick is premiered on Foxtel’s Showcase channel since december 2014.

Olive Kitteridge

The four-part miniseries, which originally aired on HBO, is adapted from Elizabeth Strout’s novel of the same name. It follows the story of Olive Kitteridge (played by Frances McDormand), a misanthropic and somewhat depressed wife and mother, and her interactions with the people in her life.  The show is brilliant in its depiction of people suffering from mental health problems. Plus, Frances McDormand’s acting is perfect on many levels.

The show is broadcasted on Foxtel’s Showcase channel since January 13.

Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt

Created by Tina Fey and Robert Carlock (who previously worked together on 30 Rock), Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt is set to stream on Netflix beginning on March 6. The comedy series revolves around Kimmy Schmidt (portrayed by Ellie Kemper from “The Office”) who returns to the real world after years in a doomsday cult. The involvement of all these talented people proves how promising this new series is.

The show will premiere on Netflix on March 6.

Bloodline

From the creators of Damages, Todd A. Kessler, Daniel Zelman and Glenn Kessler, Bloodline is an exciting new thriller set to debut on 20 March on Netflix. The show has the same tone as Damages which means that we’re given several flash-forwards of a murder and then the events that lead to it are explored. Plus, several amazing actors star in this show such as Kyle Chandler, Ben Mendelsohn, Linda Cardellini, Sam Shepard and Sissy Spacek.

Bloodline will premiere on Netflix on March, 20.

Daredevil

Developed by Drew Gaddard (best known for writing and directing “The Cabin In The Woods”), Daredevil is based on the Marvel comics character and set in the Marvel Cinematic Universe. The show centers on Matt Murdock aka Daredevil who is a lawyer by day and a crime-fighter by night. The show is premiering on April 10 on Netflix.

Daredevil will premiere on Netflix on April, 10.

Better Call Saul

Better Call Saul is a spin-off of Breaking Bad, one of the best series that television had to offer in the past decade. Created by Vince Gilligan and Peter Gould, the show revolves around Saul Goodman’s story, six years before he appeared on Breaking Bad. Even if Walter White and Jesse Pinkman’s characters are not planning on being included in the story, we still have great expectations for this series. Better Call Saul is set to premiere on February 8 on AMC.

Better Call Saul will premiere on Stan on February.
