7 Most Anticipated Returning Shows Of 2015

Waiting between seasons can be quite unbearable especially when your favorite TV show ended on a huge cliffhanger in its previous season. Don’t worry though, the waiting is almost over because some of the best television programs are set to return very soon.

Here are seven returning series we’re looking forward to (the list only includes shows that premiere between January and April 2015):

Parks and Recreation

The sixth season of Parks And Recs ended with a shocking time jump to 2017 where Leslie Knope is now a powerful government employee and she and Ben have three kids. We honestly can’t be more excited to start the seventh and final season (premiering on January 13 on Foxtel) as we’re hoping that the show will maintain its excellent quality.

Broad City

Everyone is eager for this show’s return (January 21 on Foxtel) because there’s no other show as fun and light. Broad City, which tells the story of two 20-something women living in New York, is mentioned on most critics’ “top ten shows of 2014” lists due to its hilarious main cast and brilliant jokes.

The Americans

The epic second season finale of The Americans gave us an idea of how thrilling the next season (which will premiere on Foxtel January 28) will be. Philip and Elizabeth have to make an impossible decision since they are forced to convert their daughter Paige into an asset for the KGB. This plot is very promising and it will hopefully be handled perfectly as always.

House of Cards

Like every year, Netflix releases the whole season of House Of Cards in one day (this year it’s on February 27) which guarantees an awesome binge-watching experience. We last saw Frank Underwood at the peak of his power after reaching the oval office. This makes us wonder whether he’ll find a way to become more powerful in the third season, or the time has come for his downfall.

Orphan Black

Expected to return in April 18 on Stan, Orphan Black’s third season is highly anticipated due the consistent quality of season 1 & 2. The conspiracy became much more complicated by the end of the second season with the discovery of the presence of male clones. Also, we just can’t get over how talented Tatiana Maslany is – another reason why this show is so addictive!

Game of Thrones

The fourth season of Game Of Thrones ended on a very high note due to the number of jaw-dropping cliffhangers in the finale. In addition, HBO announced the addition of several game-changing cast members to the fifth season, granting us more reasons to be excited about the show’s return. The fantasy drama is expected to be back on HBO around April 12. It will be available on Foxtel on the April 13.

Hannibal

Hannibal’s second season finale was a game-changer. Many characters’ lives were left hanging in the balance including the main characters. The underrated thriller is also expected to be back between March and April for a third season on Foxtel. We’re still in the dark about next season’s plot but it’s certainly going to keep us on our toes.
