The eighth edition of the BBL gets underway in December, and anticipation is at an all-time high for the event. The second biggest domestic T20 competition in the world has been steadily growing in popularity since its inauguration, and this season will run for longer than ever before. Fourteen rounds will see all eight teams play one another twice for the first time in league history, before the season culminates in two semi-finals and the much-anticipated Big Bash final, to be played on February 17, 2019. The Adelaide Strikers enter as the reigning champs, but expect plenty of competition from the likes of three-time winners the Perth Scorchers and the Chris Lynn-led Brisbane Heat.
Foxtel and the Fox Cricket channel will be the home of the BBL for the first time this season, with the subscription-based broadcaster owning the rights to all 59 games. This means that the best way to watch live and in High Definition on your big screen is through Foxtel from Telstra. Alternately, you can enjoy this action using Foxtel Now from Telstra and Kayo Sports. With the Kayo Sports 14 days free trial you have the option of watching the BBL live online at home using Apple TV, Telstra TV, or Chromecast, and if you’re out and about you can stream every Big Bash match directly to an eligible mobile device. If you prefer to watch the BBL free to air offerings, 43 of the games will also be shown on the Seven Network.
