From the get-go, Barefoot prides itself as being “not your average Telco”. The good news? They deliver! The company offers unlimited broadband plans at competitive prices, excellent support and no lock-in contracts. If you’re an avid Internet user who downloads and streams a lot, you might have just met your perfect match in terms of broadband providers.
Barefoot Telecom is a 100% Australian owned and operated company which provides NBN and ADSL Broadband Internet, fixed line telephone, mobile phone and mobile broadband services. If you’re looking to change broadband providers
, you might want to keep this one on your radar. Why? Well, what helps Barefoot appeal to potential clients is mainly their no lock-in contract policy. While other telcos also offer month-to-month broadband plans, usually for an extra cost, Barefoot offers only month-to-month options. This can be hugely appealing for those who are looking to test connections before committing to a provider long-term.
Another great thing about Barefoot is that all their plans come with unlimited data. This means that you no longer have to stress over your data usage or worry that you might exceed your monthly data cap. You can download hundreds of GB and stream all your favourite shows in peace. If you’re a heavy Internet user or are looking for a broadband plan for your entire family, going unlimited is a smart choice.
Last but not least, the company offers great support. Whenever you’re experiencing issues or have questions about the service, you can talk with a representative via phone, e-mail, live chat or social media. It doesn’t get easier than this.

All the Barefoot broadband plans
come with unlimited data and no lock-in contracts, so you can pick one based on what’s currently available at your address. Here’s what they have in store for potential customers.
Barefoot’s unlimited NBN plans are available across multiple technologies including Fibre to the Premises (FTTP), Fixed Wireless (all plans except two), Fibre to the Node (FTTN) and Fibre to the Basement (FTTB). Prices start from $59/month, depending on the Internet speed. Plus, you can always use the NBN rollout map to check for coverage in your location. Choose between:
In some cases, you might be required to pay for a modem. If your premises are served by Fibre to the Premises
(FTTP), your NBN plan does not include a modem/router. Barefoot Telecom can supply an NBN modem with pre-configured settings (plug and play) for $99.00 (includes delivery). However, if your premises is serviced by Fibre to the Node
(FTTN) or Fibre to the Basement
(FTTB), a setup fee of $99.00 will apply and includes a required VDSL modem. A BYO modem/router option is NOT available with a FTTN/FTTB NBN connection. There are no plan change fees, so you can switch between the plans above with ease.
Barefoot also offers two standalone ADSL plans, so you can enjoy unlimited data even if NBN hasn’t reached you yet:
The plans don’t include the modem and the monthly phone line rental. You can use your own modem or Barefoot Telecom can supply an ADSL modem with pre-configured settings (plug and play) for $99.00 (includes delivery).
If you already have an active ADSL service, you may be eligible for a “fast churn”. In this case the company will be able to transfer your service to them quicker. If your current supplier does not participate in the fast churn process, then the telco will need to activate your service as a new connection. You can always get more details by chatting with one of their representatives.
