If you’re not happy with the NBN service you’re getting, you have the option to cancel within 30 days. There are no fees involved. In fact, it’s kind of the other way around because Telstra will give you a refund. The refund includes your first monthly plan fee and hardware and standard installation costs.
How to Qualify
If you’re signing up for a new NBN service, you’re definitely qualified. You’re also eligible if you’re transferring to the NBN with Telstra on a casual or on a 12/24-month plan.
Is it for Everyone?
There are a few exceptions. Customers who already have an NBN service and are moving to a new address are not eligible for Telstra’s refund option. The same applies to former customers who disconnected or moved their services to another provider without contacting Telstra first. Belong customers are also not eligible for the telco’s NBN satisfaction guarantee.
Does the Refund Cover All Costs?
Not everything is covered by Telstra’s refund option. Non-standard installation costs, NBN co installation fees, and other expenses that are not included in your home bundle plan are excluded from this offer.
