With the many ways Aussies make use of their mobile and its data, it can be a challenge for some to allocate an amount that’s just sufficient. From video calling and streaming to gaming and social media, most people’s data requirements have inevitably increased.
Staying true to its new T22 strategy, which includes eliminating customer pain points, Telstra mobile aims to bring greater ease among customers when it comes to data usage. That’s why the telco recently announced that they’ll be giving between 15GB and 60GB of bonus data per month to over a million eligible customers. With hefty additional data at no extra cost, you can stay as productive as you want on your mobile without worrying about your data limits.
How to Get Bonus Mobile Data from Telstra
For starters, you need to be a Telstra customer to qualify. However, it’s indicated that customers on old plans will mostly comprise Telstra’s recipients of its latest offer. Users with older plans have low data allowances. Nonetheless, there’ll be over a million lucky Telstra customers to receive extra data of up to 60GB every month.
Are you eligible for bonus Mobile Data?
Telstra’s bonus data offer isn’t available to everyone. Eligible customers will be notified about their free data upgrade by email or text. The telco will roll out the bonus data offer in three phases starting this month and until January. According to Telstra, around 150,000 customers have already been gifted with bonus data. Another 350,000 will be informed of the good news later this month. Hence, half a million Telstra customers will soon be enjoying bigger data allowances at no extra costs.
What are the next steps?
Meanwhile, another half a million customers will get their additional data before the end of the year. There’s no way of knowing about your eligibility other than wait for a notification from Telstra. If you’re one of the lucky customers to receive data upgrade, you can enjoy your free data each month straight away. This is just one of the perks of joining Telstra’s massive network. Other benefits include free 5G access on the higher-end plans, data-free Apple Music and live sports, and free Telstra Air WiFi.
What else does Telstra offer?
Telstra’s freshly implemented strategy also saw the complete overhaul of their mobile offerings. Removing contract terms and with no excess data charges, Aussies can now sign up to a postpaid plan on a month-to-month contract. The new monthly setup also paves the way for users to customise their own plans with add-ons they can include at any time. Conveniently, subscribers who need a new phone now have the flexibility to pay off a device over 24 or 36 months. Customers can change their plan once a month — if you leave, no penalties required. Simply pay out your device or accessories in full.
