Telstra Offering Six Months Free of Both Presto and Stan for New Customers
Bundling streaming TV services is a common strategy by telcos to attract new customers. To prove our point, Telstra is currently offering a six-month subscription to both Presto and Stan for new and reconnecting clients on its home broadband services.
To qualify for the new offer from Telstra, you need to sign up for a 24-month contract on Telstra’s M, L or XL bundles until June 29.
The telco is currently offering a $20 a month discount for those plans for new customers. Consequently, the M plan costs $80/month ($1979 minimum 24-month cost) and includes 100 GB of data and free calls to Australian landlines, while calls to Australian mobiles are capped at $2 each; the L plan costs $110/month ($2699 minimum 24-month cost) and includes 200 GB ad free calls to both Australian landlines and mobiles; and the XL plan costs $130/month ($3179 minimum 24-month cost) and includes 500 GB of data and free calls to both Australian landlines and mobiles.
“The Stan and Presto offers are available to both new customers and current customers who recontract onto the new package. The Presto part of the offer is available even if you have a current Presto service, but the Stan promotion is only available for new Stan account sign-ups,” according to Telstra representatives.
