Despite the numerous efforts producers made to combat piracy this year, like allowing everybody in the world to watch the episodes simultaneously, it seems like fans’ patience ran out and GoT lived up to its reputation as the most pirated show of all times.

The first four episodes of Game of Thrones season five made their way to torrent sites a few hours before the official premiere, posing a big dilemma for fans everywhere: should we binge-watch the four episodes now and suffer through another month of withdrawal or should we wait for the episodes’ official release? If you choose the second option, get ready to spend the next month struggling to stay spoiler-free, which has become particularly difficult these days.
The first four episodes were sent out to the press for review on a DVD screener; the leaks appear to have come from one of those screeners, since the digital watermark is blurred. The trailer for season five was also leaked back in January, prior to HBO’s official release. And just when the producers were making even more efforts to combat piracy, like airing season five episodes at the same time in over 170 countries and territories. This leak has got to hurt…
