OVO Mobile is off to an amazing start this 2018 with lots of exciting news and updates, which ultimately mean good things for sports fans and viewers alike! Expect more thrilling content, as well as great deals from this telco that stands for the fans.
Leave it to OVO Mobile to make sure that sports and entertainment fans and viewers are well satisfied with their lineup of exciting content for 2018. Here’s a quick recap of what’s been happening since the start of the year and what’s to come for OVO Mobile.
This past January, OVO signed up with a new content partner Formula Drift, to be included in their growing video on demand Motor Sports category. They also announced their new shareholders, Southern Cross Austereo, which would help the company deliver bigger and better content plus winning mobile deals for their subscribers.
Speaking of winning mobile deals, OVO Mobile also increased their data allowances on two of their mobile plans last February. For OVO Mobile Large, you can now get 10GB from 8GB for $34.95, and get a whopping 19GB from 14GB for $49.95 for their OVO Mobile Extra Large plan. It was also last February that they streamed SuperFoiler and 18-foot skiffies content via their OVOPlay app.
As a testament to OVO Mobile’s commitment to delivering the best to their subscribers, they won WhatPhone’s “Best Plan with Entertainment” award this past March. It was during this time that they announced their exclusive broadcast agreement with the Australian Esports League (AEL) for 5 years, delivering and streaming eSports content starting with the newly created AEL University Cup. The first episode aired last Easter Monday and is available for data-free streaming via OVOPlay. This was received quite favourably because currently there is no AEL University Cup free to air provider that has fully committed. OVO has also entered the Gymnastics, Supercars and Drag Racing live sport streaming markets.
