Possible Australian Netflix launch

Its been rumoured that TV and movie streaming service, Netflix, may be coming to Australia as early as 2014.

The global online streaming entertainment provider is contemplating the move given the 20,000 Austrailan’s already accessing Netflix’s offering via VPN.

With a US $7.99 per month offering which includes unlimited TV and movie streaming, this potential decision will have the likes of FetchTV, Quickflix and Foxtel formulating innovative ways to add value to their service offerings. In addition to this, you’d also expect these providers to reconsider their pricing strategies. Overall, a positive change for Australian pay TV consumers.
