The charismatic Litchfield prisoners will return in 2016, after Netflix renewed its hit original series Orange is the New Black for a fourth season. The announcement comes two months before the season three premiere. Also, Netflix offered fans a sneak peek that only makes the waiting that much excruciating.
The renewal doesn’t come as a surprise, since Orange is the New Black
is one of the most successful original Netflix series. The prison dramedy won more than 20 awards, including two Emmys and a Peabody Award. The series is based on the memoir of the same name by Piper Kerman, in which she writes about her time spent in prison after running drugs for an acquaintance. If you’re not up-to-date, there’s still time to catch up. Season 3 is scheduled to hit Netflix
on June 12, in all territories.
Additionally, Netflix also released a clip from the upcoming season featuring the fan-favourite Crazy Eyes losing her cool. Are you as giddy with anticipation as we are?
