The billing issue appears to have hit customers hard in the entire region, causing outrage – and for good reason. “Oh I thought it was just me that got charged 5 times by @NetflixANZ,” one user tweeted. “#Netflix please fix your billing issues, I got charged $11.99/month 11 times until my bank goes insufficient funds,” another one pleaded.
In response, Netflix assured users on Monday that all additional charges will be refunded in full. “Sorry for the now resolved billing issues. Authorisations will be lifted from bank accts in coming days. Incoming help via @Netflixhelps”, the company tweeted.
