Marvel’s Daredevil Renewed for Season Two

The Man without Fear will return for a second season on Netflix, scheduled to premiere sometimes next year. However, showrunner Steven S. DeKnight is stepping down from the series, with writers Doug Petrie and Marco Ramirez set to take his place.

Daredevil was well-received by both viewers and critics, so there’s no wonder we will be able to enjoy a second season in 2016. There’s a twist though – showrunner Steven S. DeKnight is leaving the show because of previous commitments. Writers Doug Petrie and Marco Ramirez will be running Daredevil together starting season two.

The show’s first season was highly praised for its cinematic style and gripping dramatics, so the new showrunners will have to clear a high bar. However, they both have strong past credits – Ramirez previously wrote for Sons of Anarchy and Petrie for Buffy the Vampire Slayer. Plus, they both worked closely with DeKnight and creator Drew Goddard during season one.

The second season of Daredevil is scheduled to premiere sometime in 2016.
