A new broadband start-up is taking Australia by storm. MyRepublic is launching Down Under this month offering very appealing NBN plans, especially for gamers or streaming enthusiasts – unlimited data at speeds of up to 100 Mbps.
The competition on the Australian broadband market is tough, and it’s about to get even tougher. Already an established brand across New Zealand and Asia, MyRepublic recently made its speedy internet available on the Australian market.
The company’s aim is to bring potential clients unlimited data at speeds of up to 100 Mbps. You can benefit from unlimited downloads and uploads on the fastest NBN speeds available in your area (up to 100/40Mbps). All for a flat monthly fee – $59.99 for the Ultra plan or $69.99 for the Gamer plan. The Gamer plan offers low latency to specific gaming servers, with gaming traffic being prioritised.
This makes MyRepublic’s plans some of the most affordable unlimited data plans at the top NBN speed tier available, even when compared to what other premium telcos have on offer.
According to MyRepublic representatives, 80 percent of customers on the NBN are currently running on speeds similar to ADSL technology, which is 25 Mbps or slower. The start-up wants to change that and give customers access to true NBN speeds. That’s why the company doesn’t bother with speed tiers or data limits – instead, it’s offering plans with unlimited data at the fastest speeds possible. However, the speed will ultimately depend on the type of connection you have available in your area. If you have a “fibre to the home” connection, you can easily enjoy 100 Mbps speed.
MyRepublic plans will be available to the public from November 15. Until then, use our NBN rollout tracker to see when the speedy internet comes to your area and compare NBN plans to make sure you choose the best deal available.
