George R.R. Martin Developing another Sci-Fi Series for HBO

Presto Streaming TV and Movies

No rest for the wicked! Besides struggling to finish The Winds of Winter and daydreaming about how to gruesomely murder your favourite Game of Thrones characters, George R.R. Martin is also working on a new sci-fi show, Captain Cosmos.

The infamous writer revealed to Entertainment Weekly that he is working with HBO to develop a new series called Captain Cosmos. What’s it about? Well: “At the dawn of the age of TV in 1949, a visionary young writer creates a science fiction series that tells stories no one else will dare to tell.” The pilot is being written by Michael Cassutt (Z Nation).

Of course, he’s also doing his best to finish The Winds of Winter, the forthcoming sixth novel in the epic fantasy series A Song of Ice and Fire. However, he should seriously worry, since the TV show is catching up to many of the storylines in the A Song of Ice and Fire saga.

If the book isn’t released by next spring, when the sixth season of Game of Thrones will likely premiere, the show could start to spoil the books, provoking outrage among readers . Oh, how the tables may turn!
