The Voice 2015 Premieres Over Three Nights on Nine

British pop superstar Jessie J and Benji Madden are set to shake things up on the new season of The Voice,  joining Delta Goodrem, Ricky Martin and Joel Madden as Coaches when the new season of the hit show premieres over three big nights from Sunday, June 28, on Channel Nine.

New Coach Jessie J is one of the UK’s biggest pop exports, with more than 15 million record sales and number one songs in 19 countries. And after their double turn on The Voice Kids last year, Joel Madden is bringing brother Benji with him, hoping that two Coaches are better than one to secure a win for Team Madden on The Voice 2015.

With new faces and exciting changes to the format of The Voice, the stakes have been raised this season. There will be fewer spots available on each team, so the battle to get the Coaches to hit their buttons will intensify. Plus, for the first time, each Coach’s team will not be guaranteed a spot in the Grand Finale, making the competition for the best artists hotter than ever.

The three thrilling stages of The Voice start with the Blind Auditions where, with their backs to the stage, the Coaches must hit their buttons based solely on the artist’s voice. The Coaches will select 12 artists for their teams during the Blind Auditions. Once the teams are set, it’s on to the Battle Rounds where the Coaches will pair their own artists against each other, choosing the strongest ones to advance to the next stage of the competition. At the end of the Battle Rounds each Coach will be left with eight artists. The Coaches will then award their two strongest voices a “fast pass”, sending them straight through to the Live Shows.

The six remaining artists per team will then perform in a three-way contest in the new Super Battle: last-chance contests where one from each trio goes through to the Live Shows, when the all-important viewer vote comes into play. This produces the Top 16 finalists, who will compete week-to-week to be crowned the winner in the Grand Finale. The winner of The Voice 2015 will receive the grand prize of a recording contract with Universal Music Australia, $100,000 cash and a new Ford Kuga Titanium.
Darren McMullen returns as host on the fourth season of The Voice and he’ll be joined by the first co-host of the hit program, the effervescent Sonia Kruger.

The Voice premieres Sunday, June 28 on Nine, and continues Monday and Tuesday. Will you tune in?
