True Detective Season 2 Coming to Foxtel on June 22

True Detective, the riveting drama and breakout hit for HBO, will be back on June 22, with a new cast and a fresh, gripping story. Foxtel will be once again expressing episodes of the new season of acclaimed drama direct from the US.
The season 2 premiere will air on the same day as the US, screening express at 3:30 pm Mondays from June 22 followed by a 7:30 pm primetime replay on Showcase. Created and written by Nic Pizzolatto, season two will feature a complex, twisting plot. A bizarre murder brings together three law-enforcement officers and a career criminal, each of whom must navigate a web of conspiracy and betrayal in order to reach the truth and find salvation in the scorched wilderness of California.

The cast includes Colin Farrell as Ray Velcoro, a compromised detective, Vince Vaughn as Frank Semyon, a criminal, and Rachel McAdams as Ani Bezzerides, a Ventura County Sheriff’s detective often at odds with the system she serves. Other confirmed cast include Kelly Reilly (Jordan Semyon), Christopher James Baker (Blake Churchman), Afemo Omilami (Police Chief Holloway), Chris Kerson (Nails), and James Frain (Lt. Kevin Burris).

The first season of the anthology crime series set the bar high in terms of quality, so we’re looking forward to seeing where the show will take us in its next installment.
