Live streaming AFL

Footy is a national treasure, with fans from across the country eager to watch their favourite AFL teams and players live.

However, with life’s various commitments it’s not always possible to be home in front of a television or computer. For fans on the go, mobile devices are a convenient alternative for watching live AFL games.

That’s why this guide will show you the best options for watching AFL games live, instantly, and in many cases entirely free.

AFL 2024 TV broadcast rights: Where to watch the games live

The live TV rights for the 2024 AFL season will once again be shared by Fox Footy and Network Seven.

The Seven Network, via channel 7 and 7Mate, will televise a minimum of three live games per round, as well as every match of the Finals Series including the AFL Grand Final.

It’s important to note that Seven have no live streaming rights during the regular season, as these belong exclusively to Fox Footy.

For comparison Fox Footy, courtesy of Foxtel, Telstra and Kayo Sports, will televise every match from every round live, and ad-break free, before the Grand Final. This includes up to five exclusive games each week.

Every match of the AFL regular season can also be streamed live via Foxtel Now, the Foxtel Go app, or the Kayo Sports platform.
