The 2015 Moto GP Season is in full swing after kicking off in Qatar, with the opening race won by former world champion Valentino Rossi. Attention now turns to Austin Texas for the second round featuring the ‘Grand Prix Of The Americas‘, where Rossi will see strong opposition should he hope to continue his magic this weekend.
Officially named the Circuit of the America’s (COTA), the riders will be competing at speeds nearing 320kmh around the tracks many twists and turns, and you need not miss a moment of the action when watching with a standard or HD TV, as well as streaming to an eligible mobile or internet connected device.
2015 Grand Prix Of The Americas Live TV Preview
Sponsored by Red Bull, the Circuit of the Americas is round two of the 2015 MotoGP title race. This will be the third time a Motorcycle GP round has been raced at the Austin circuit, debuting in 2013. MotoGP races are generally won by riders who are near the front, and it’s hard to make ground. The Austin track certainly does tend to favour leaders, as we saw last year when Marc Marquez saluted.
1. Marc Marquez (Honda): 43:33:430
2. Dani Pedrosa (Honda): +4.124
3. Andrea Dovizioso (Ducati): +20.976
There is going to be plenty of intrigue to the 2015 edition given that Marquez, who dominated the 2014 season, could only manage a fifth place in the Qatar Moto GP. It has raised the idea that the title could be more open in 2015, with Valentino Rossi (Yamaha) bagging 25 points in March’s opening round, and Ducati rider Andrea Dovizioso second on the table with 20.
