Flip TV offers unlimited NBN for under $50/month

There are a lot of factors to consider when choosing a broadband plan. But as important as data allowance and speed are, price can still make a big difference for budget-conscious consumers. Luckily, plenty of providers are offering plans with unlimited data that don’t break the bank; and Flip TV is one of the best.

Last year, Flip TV launched as an NBN service, with great success. The telco, which until then has been known for providing access to international TV channels, gain the attention of consumers thanks to their affordable and generous NBN deals. So much so that Flip TV’s Family 25 offering even won Money Magazine’s Best of the Best award in the Best-Value NBN Broadband Plan 2018 category. A great feat just a few months after their NBN debut.

Flip TV’s NBN plans start below the $50/month price point and they all pack unlimited data. That means that you can stream and download as much as you want, without constantly keeping an eye on your usage. The only thing differentiating the telco’s three plans is the speed. The Value 12 plan, at $49/month, comes with basic evening speed. It’s suitable for casual consumers who browse the web, e-mail, shop online, or watch a few videos. If you’re an avid streamer or gamer, however, or if you’re purchasing the plan for the entire family to use, we recommend you invest in one of the higher-tier options.

The Family 25 plan costs $59/month and comes with standard evening speed. It’s recommended for 2-4 people and well-suited for streaming. For an even faster plan, consider Fast 50. With standard plus evening speed, it’s great for gamers, HD streaming, as well as downloading/uploading larger files. Fast 50 costs $79/month.

Flip TV plans are available on both an 18-month contract or on a month-to-month basis. If you go the no-contract route, you have to pay a $79 connection free, which is waived if you sign up for a longer commitment. You can use your own modem (as long as it’s compatible) or purchase one from Flip TV. All plans come with pay as you calls, but you can buy call packs if you use your landline a lot.
