Helping consumers make informed choices about broadband, mobile phone plans and digital entertainment, Compare TV has grown into one of Australia’s most popular sites. Hundreds of thousands of people visit the site every month to get the latest news, reviews and guides. In its six-year history, Compare TV has grown from a tiny operation into a thriving company, and was recognised in the Australian Financial Review’s Fast 100 list earlier in 2018.

This week, Compare TV was granted another prestigious accolade, ranking 21st in SmartCompany’s Smart50 Awards. The annual awards rank Australia’s fastest-growing small to medium sized businesses, and with growth at over 140%, Compare TV is reaching more and more consumers every day and giving them the information they need to make informed choices about their digital communications and entertainment.

Tracking business growth since 2007, SmartCompany is a highly respected and influential destination for business owners and entrepreneurs, and its annual Smart50 Awards encompasses a diverse list of companies that are enjoying ever-increasing growth and success. Sharing space on the list with Compare TV are such diverse companies as Choice Energy, Vivid Technology, and Walker Hill Chartered Accountants.

CompareTV’s managing partners, Oliver Mistry and Chris Smith, at the SmartCompany’s Smart50 Awards.

“The way consumers were accessing entertainment via new formats, services, delivery methods and devices was shifting dramatically,” said Compare TV managing partner Oliver Mistry at the awards ceremony, held in Melbourne this week. “People needed to know what to watch and where, what services were available, how much they cost, what were the differences between them and much more.”

“In terms of the entertainment industry that we are the guide to – its an exciting time. New services seem to be launching on a near monthly basis. As technology evolves so will the industry, bringing us new products, services and content to cover. The options out there are ever expanding which creates an ever growing role for our business to play in helping people figure out what’s right for them.”

Having recently launched a brand new site design that streamlines its extensive coverage of streaming and pay TV, broadband, mobile and gaming, Compare TV looks to continue its rapid growth into the upcoming year and beyond, as an ever expanding audience of informed consumers discovers information and ideas that connect them with both entertainment and the wider world.
