The Block Scores Top of Overnight Ratings for Nine
Ever since the premiere of its 15th season on Nine, The Block has consistently topped the charts on the free to air overnight ratings. It’s no surprise that it’s recognised as Australia’s most successful reality program! The latest season sees five ambitious couples renovating the neglected Oslo Hotel in St Kilda for the chance to walk away with the $100,000 prize money — not to mention the profit made once the apartments go under the hammer at a public auction this year.
From Monday’s 842,000 to last night’s 851,000, it seems as though the viewership is growing day by day as the season goes on. This spells good news for Nine, the network that has just wrapped up another successful run of the hit reality show The Voice Australia and Australian Ninja Warrior. The Block has also helped Nine in gaining a narrow win with last Sunday’s ratings facing off with other Seven’s Australia’s Got Talent and Ten’s Australian Survivor.
Speaking of Australian Survivor, the hit reality show has also managed to garner a solid 739,000 viewership last night and has also been consistently increasing in numbers as the season continues on. Other shows worth mentioning include Seven’s The Chase, Home and Away, and Nine’s Seachange reboot.

Back to the News this Tuesday Evening
It’s a slow Tuesday night for subscription channels with the news and sports commentary shows across Sky News Live, Fox Footy, and Fox League. Jones & Credlin takes a narrow lead over with 61,000 compared to The Bolt Report’s 59,000. Of course, it’s not all news and commentaries with last night’s top 20 with shows such as Below Deck: Mediterranean and reruns of NCIS, Criminal Minds, and CSI still managing to secure spots with yesterday’s overnight ratings.
