A look at the latest ratings results and what they mean for the networks – as well as a glimpse at how well your favourite shows are doing!

Australian Survivor Grand Finale Takes Home Overnight TV Ratings for Network 10

Now on its sixth run, Australian Survivor is back with even more challenges and and drama as the show returns with the same format and location as the last season. Network Ten has been the home of Australian Survivor for four seasons straight and so far, it’s been a successful run for the network with last night’s grand finale episode garnering an impressive 1,040,000 viewers for the 5-city aggregate figure — an increase from the hit reality show’s average of around 700,000 to 800,000 viewers during its live airtime.

Pia Miranda was crowned as the winner of Australian Survivor: Champions vs Contenders Grand Finale, where she faced off against rivals Harry Hills and Baden Gilbert to claim the ultimate prize of $500,000. In this gripping finale, the families of all three last survivors watched on as they tried to outlast each other for the final and longest challenge in Survivor history before heading on to the final tribal council to make their pitch to the jury. Pia received nine votes with Baden receiving zero votes.

The fact that the classic reality show is still getting consistent numbers leading all the way up to the grand finale signals that it still has what it takes to get another successful run this season with its consistent and improving TV ratings numbers and for the potential success of the upcoming seventh season, Australian Survivor: All Stars.
