Quickflix Vs Ezyflix: Which is better?

quickflix vs Ezyflix

Quickflix has a large catalogue of first release movies and TV shows available for streaming; from classic hits like The Wire to hot new releases such as The Killing. Subscribers can pay an additional fee to rent new release movies (popular right now is 22 Jump Street and Grace of Monaco) or purchase episodes of hit series like Boardwalk Empire. Subscribers can choose to expand their selection to 60,000 titles by opting for the DVDs or Blu-Ray delivery service with movies delivered right to their doors.

EzyFlix has a limited selection of 2,000 titles, but don’t let that put you off: this provider specializes in allowing subscribers to rent or purchase brand-new shows and movies before they make it to DVD. New titles available now through EzyFlix include X-Men: Days of Future Past and Grace of Monaco.

Ease of use

Quickflix subscribers can register up to 6 devices whilst streaming on three concurrently. You’re also able to watch on Macs, PCs, some Smart TVs, smartphones, tablets and on HDMI-enabled TVs with Chromecast. However there may be some limitations on the premium movies and shows that subscribers can see from gaming consoles and certain computer operating systems.

EzyFlix has similar limitations, with content available on Windows XP or later desktops, Macs, Samsung Smart TVs and via Chromecast on HDMI enabled TVs. EzyFlix is not currently available for the new iOS 8 platform, and will not be able to play HD content on an iOS phone or Android.

Quickflix is available anywhere in Australia where you have a high bandwidth internet service. Streaming movies takes between 750MB to 1.2 GB and an episode of a TV show is around 350MB . EzyFlix requires a 1.5 Mbps connect. If your device or TV is not fully equipped to handle HD it will automatically revert your content to standard definition.

You’ll pay just $9.99/month for unlimited movies and shows through Quickflix, with an upgrade to DVD or Blu-Ray delivery services for $12.99/month that allows you to rent one disc at a time, $22.99 gets you two, and for $29.99/month, you can have up to three discs out at once. You can rent premium new movies starting at $5.99 or purchase new TV episodes for $2.99 each.

EzyFlix has no one-size-fits-all monthly subscription fee. Instead, it is based completely on what you watch. You can choose to buy a movie for $8.99 or rent it for $3.99. Choose a TV show to own and pay $2.99 per episode, with discounts if you purchase a full season at once.

Quickflix offers subscribers a low monthly fee with the flexibility to either watch streaming TV and movie titles or rent or purchase additional premium content. Quickflix also offers subscribers the option to receive titles right at their door through their DVD and Blu-Ray rental service.

EzyFlix operates through the Ultraviolet platform, which means that subscribers get to easily store their content in the cloud for quick access. EzyFlix also allows subscribers to convert some of their existing DVDs and Blu-Rays to a cloud-friendly digital version for an extra fee so you can keep all of your favorite content, whether physically purchased or digitally downloaded, in the same place.

The decision between Quickflix and EzyFlix really comes down to the reason you want to sign up for a movie and TV service in the first place. If you want flexibility in how you watch, Quickflix is hard to beat, offering streaming services, delivery DVDs and Blu-Ray rentals, and additional new releases that you can rent or purchase at any time. It’s also great value for entertainment hogs, with unlimited streaming for a low monthly fee.
