OTT

OTT is short for Over-The-Top Content, and is a relatively new concept in digital entertainment.

OTT in the reaIPTVlm of broadcasting and internet services refers to content that arrives from a third party such as Netflix, and is directly delivered to the end user’s device. With OTT the Internet Service Provider is simply a carrier, and not directly involved in the content’s creation or dissemination.

The benefit of OTT is reduced delivery charges due to lower infrastructure costs, and as such the growth of new service providers which has increased rate competition.
