ISP

ISP is the industry term for ‘Internet Service Provider‘, which just as the name implies is the company that provides your computer, phone or tablet’s access to the Internet.

ISP’s can be fibISPer optic, DSL (Digital Subscriber Line), satellite, phone line or cable-based, and deliver your Internet using either Broadband (the fastest) or dial-up.

Due to their capacity to deliver much larger quantities of data at much faster connection speeds, Broadband ISP’s are rapidly replacing the older technology found in dial-up service providers.
