CatchUp TV is a special service provided by content providers whereby television shows are available for viewing a few days to a few weeks after they have been broadcast on live television.
Broadcasters or service providers typically store the episode for a certain number of days so that viewers that missed the original telecast can watch them later, at their convenience, and ‘catch up’ with their favourite shows.
Foxtel’s CatchUp service called ‘Foxtel Anytime’ maintains over 1000 TV episodes and 850 movies for viewers to access later. Other providers and channels have different storage capacity. Some Internet based firms like TVCatchUpAustralia also provide catch up services.
