Bundling

Bundling refers to rolling two or more of your telecommunications, household or entertainment needs into the one plan. Bundles will usually be offered by one provider, although over time this has changed as more and more Australian providers have built partnerships to give you the best deals.

The options for what can be bundled has changed over time. Initially, bundling referred to getting your home phone and internet through the one provider. These days, you can bundle anything from your household utilities plans (gas and electricity), entertainment – i.e. streaming and Pay TV – along with your mobile and home phone usage and broadband internet.

Bundling is a great way to save money. While you might pay a little more, you’ll get a whole lot more ‘bang for your buck’. Providers also like bundles, so they’ll often throw in a few added extras like modems and reduce connection and line rental fees to sweeten the deal. It’s also far more convenient, as you pay one bill and all of your needs will be catered to under the one roof.
