World Cup Preview
Hope is well and truly over Australia after their success in the previous edition of the Cricket World Cup (2015), which included a victory over their nemesis the New Zealand Black Caps in the Final. Australia are hard fit after a recent India series where they showed flashes of brilliance during their T20 and ODI matches, and will be looking for their sixth World Cup, and a chance to repeat in spite of their up and down performances of late.
It should also be noted that host nations do not have much success in the World Cup, so that does not bode well for the success of the England cricket team. India will enter the number one ranked side in ODI Cricket, with New Zealand, South Africa and Australia also expected to do quite well. The Australian public love their Cricket, so there’s much pressure on the team to advance far and share in the excitement generated by the defence of their status as the reigning champions.
