Rugby union is a team sport which originated in England in the 1800s. It is a sport played by two teams composed of 15 players each on an open field. The object of the game is to score the most points by grounding the ball on the in-goal area or kicking it over the H-shaped goalposts.
An official rugby union match is played for 80 minutes divided into two halves of 40 minutes each. There is a scheduled break in between the halves. If a game ends in a draw after 80 minutes an additional 20 minutes of extra time is added to determine the winner. If the game still ends in a draw after the first extra time, another extra time of 20 minutes is added but this time the first time who scores during the added will win the match. The second extra time is also known as the sudden-death extra time.
